UoT Faculty Member Represents University at International QA Conference

Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Sciences and Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at the University of Turbat (UoT), presented a research paper at the 5th International Conference of the Pakistan Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE), held from 14-16 April 2025 at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore.

The paper, titled “Manipulating Grades and Evaluations: Unpacking the Power Dynamics Between Students and Teachers in Higher Education,” drew considerable interest for its timely exploration of academic assessment and quality assurance in the higher education landscape of Pakistan.
Dr. Riaz was accompanied by QEC team members, Mr. Noman Shakeel and Mr. Ganj Bakhsh, who also attended the conference and actively participated in the pre-conference workshops.

These sessions brought together national and international experts to share best practices in quality enhancement, academic integrity, and institutional self-assessment.
The University of Turbat’s representation at the event reflects its growing commitment to advancing quality assurance mechanisms in higher education.

According to the University spokesperson, the UoT's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, is committed to supporting the QEC in its mission to raise institutional quality benchmarks and enhance the university’s standing in national and international quality rankings.
