UoT Sociology Department Hosts Session on Project Planning and Management

The Department of Sociology, University of Turbat (UoT), organized a special session on Project Planning and Management on September 12, 2025, at the Video Conference Room of UoT. The session was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Yaseen, Head of the Sociology Department, and was attended by faculty members and students of the department.
The distinguished resource person was Dr. Farhat Imtiaz, a renowned social scientist and consultant, who is currently serving as a visiting professor at Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), SZABIST, and the University of Karachi.
During the session, Dr. Farhat Imtiaz provided a comprehensive overview of project planning and management, focusing on practical approaches and strategies for effective project execution. She emphasized the importance of structured planning in ensuring successful outcomes in the fields of social sciences and development work.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Muhammad Yaseen expressed gratitude to Dr. Farhat Imtiaz for sharing her expertise. He highlighted the growing significance of project management and planning in addressing socio-economic challenges facing Pakistan and encouraged students to develop these skills to meet the demands of the contemporary world.
