Two Scholars Successfully Defend Their Research at Turbat University

Mr. Yasir Ali, an MPhil scholar (Biochemistry) from the Natural and Basic Sciences Department of the University of Turbat (UoT), successfully defended his thesis on September 15, 2025. His research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Jahangir Khan Achakzai, Assistant Professor at UoT. The defense was evaluated by Dr. Muhammad Kabir from Thal University, Bhakkar, Punjab, who served as the external examiner and joined the session via video link.
On the following day, Ms. Muhraz, an MS scholar from the Department of Management Sciences, successfully defended her thesis under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Tahir Badini, Assistant Professor at UoT, while Dr. Balach Rasheed, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, LUAWMS Uthal, served as the external examiner through a video link.
The defense sessions were also attended by Dr. Naeemullah, Dean, Faculty of Science, Engineering & IT, Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Dr. Jahangir Khan Achakzai, Chairman, Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, Dr. Ghulam Jan, Chairman, Department of Management Sciences, Dr. Waseem Barkat, Director of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Controller of Examinations.
According to the University spokesperson, admissions are currently open at the university in various programs, including 10 graduate programs (MS/MPhil/PhD), 15 undergraduate degree programs, 20 associate degree programs, and 13 post-associate degree programs (5th semester), as well as 9 other programs offered under the Self-Finance Scheme.
